BI-LO, one of the largest supermarket chains in the South, needed someone to create content for their website on a regular basis for a variety of deals, promotions and special events.
An Emphasis on Quality and Value
With an emphasis on providing quality and value to their customers, BI-LO wanted their website to highlight all of the ways that they make it easy for busy parents to prepare healthy, delicious meals for their family.
Each week I was asked to craft compelling copy and call-to-actions for the homepage slider to highlight that week’s seasonal deals, healthy food choices, or featured products and services.
Using directions from their corporate marketing department, and following BI-LO’s editorial style guide to inform the tone, voice, and style of my copy, I was able to quickly turnaround copy requests on a regular basis – often with only 24 hours notice.
Communicating BI-LO’s Value Proposition
Using a tone of voice that was casual and conversational while still being direct and informative, I maintained the brand voice and communicated the value proposition of BI-LO in all my work.
In addition to weekly content updated for the homepage slider, I created content for a number of landing pages throughout the site, including their pharmacy, fresh fruit and 50th anniversary homepages.
To help celebrate their big anniversary, I also wrote all the copy for a Facebook sweepstakes app and landing page.
